When The Kids Are Sleeping...

One of the most frequently offered advice to me when I was pregnant with both kids is to sleep when the baby sleeps. It is 100% logical, but who actually does that?? Yes, housework can wait.. unless you have stepped on one too many race cars and trains lying around the living room floor. Sure I don't have to cook... except I have a toddler with a wooden leg. Of course I'm not expected to return phone calls, emails and text messages right away but how else do ...

Macaroni Fitness: Train2Cheer DVD Review
After having two babies, my body could use some toning. My fitness routine currently involves lifting a 10 pound baby and chasing after a three-year-old. As much as I'd love to join a gym, it is difficult to commit when I have two little ones with unpredictable schedules. As an alternative, I've been looking for a good workout DVD to use at home so I was thrilled when I received a copy of the Train2Cheer DVD to review.
Although the DVD is designed for dancers and cheerleaders, Train2Cheer ...
Macaroni Made: Marshmallow/Pom Pom Shooter
What you need:
2 plastic cups
1 balloon
scissors
marshmallows and/or pom poms
What you do:
Stack the 2 plastic cups and cut them about a third of the way down. (I used 2 for sturdiness. If you have a sturdier cup, one will probably do)
Tie your balloon and cut the (non-tied) end.
Your shooter will look like this:
Place the marshmallow or ...
Macaroni Menu: Chicken Pesto Pasta Salad

Summer and pasta salad go hand in hand in this house. I LOVE having the ease of having a chilled pasta salad waiting for us in the fridge when we get home from the pool or zoo or whatever we have done that day. Add the benefit that there is no cleaning dishes and I can’t think of a better quick meal! We eat so much pasta salad, however, that I have had to come up with variations so that we don’t get bored with our typical “family ...
